Biographical Highlights
  • Occupation: San Rafael Mayor
  • Elected to the San Rafael City Council in 1987 after serving 16 years as a member of the San Rafael Planning Commission.
  • Elected in 1991 to a four-year term as Mayor, re-elected to additional four-year terms in November of 1995 and 1999.
  • As a member of the county parks open space and cultural commision, Mayor Boro has helped to acquire 9,700 acres of open space throughout Marin County.
  • In 1992, Mayor Boro was appointed a Director of the Golden Gate Bridge, Highway, and Transportation District representing Marin County.
  • Mayor Boro is a member and a vice chair of the Marin County Congestion Management Team (CMA) working toward solutions for traffic and transit issues.

Top Priorities if Elected
  • Manage our financial resources so we can continue to provide the same high level of public safety responses our community expects and deserves.
  • Continue to use the community based government approach throughout our city where all residents and businesses have the opportunity to participate.
  • Seek to create multi-modal transit solutions along the 101 corridor to enhance our quality of life by improving traffic flow.
