Candidate for
Council Member; City of Sunnyvale; Seat 7

I'm a Sunnyvale native, Leadership Sunnyvale graduate and founding president of Friends of Sunnyvale. In these roles I have worked hard to maintain the quality of life in Sunnyvale, especially regarding the downtown, and to be the voice of the citizens to the city council. Through my efforts, the revised plan is now closer to the community's vision for Sunnyvale, but there are other areas that need work. We need to do more to provide safe neighborhoods, parks and schools, and finding creative ways to maintain Public Safety and other city services in the midst of an uncertain economy.

Like many cities, Sunnyvale is facing difficult times in the coming years. The decisions we make now will determine whether Sunnyvale remains the safe and livable place that we love. From the questions surrounding the downtown plan, to the hard choices about services and taxes, Sunnyvale needs representatives who will involve members of the community and will be decisive when hard choices need to be made.
