1. How would you implement your top priority?
I believe the School Board is entrusted with providing students a safe learning environment with a highly qualified and motivated faculty and staff. They must be encouraged to pursue professional growth opportunities. The completion of the new buildings project must be overseen with careful detail to achieve optimism advantage for students, faculty, staff and community. It is also extremely important to balance the budget and make sure tax dollars are spent wisely and prudently.
2. How can the School Board work with local government and the community on use of school facilities for after school programs and recreations?
Since there are new buildings opening in 2004, the Board could expand adult education classes Open gym nights could provide the community with basketball, volleyball and exercise classes. The facility could be an opportunity for creating evening forums/discussions of pertinent issues between local government and residents. The community must be included in programs that provide them with a connection and ownership of our India Hill Schools.
