This is a defining moment for the Republican Party. We are proud members of a party that was created to abolish slavery. We are members of a party that ended the Cold War on America's terms, sparing future generations from the fear of nuclear annihilation and spreading democracy and freedom around the globe. We've stood our ground and fought the tough battles. Why? Because we knew they were the right things to do.

I'm running to represent the 78th Assembly District because I want to ensure that the Republican Party continues to put principle ahead of politics and choose values over votes. Without the vigilance of people like you and me, there is a good chance that the Republican Party will soon become indistinguishable from the Democratic Party. The signs are already here.

The GOP has been America's conservative party since 1964, but liberals within our party are trying to remake it in their own image. They believe that, by refusing to defend the lives of unborn children and by denying our Second Amendment right to defend ourselves, Republicans can pick up more votes. But we know the truth. We know that when we abandon our principles, we always lose.

After President Bush, the three most famous Republicans in our country today are Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, former NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani and New York Gov. George Pataki. All three support abortion and homosexual civil unions and oppose the Second Amendment.

Our own governor, Arnold Schwarznegger campaigned against a bill granting legal drivers licenses to illegal immigrants and successfully lobbied the state assembly to repeal the law. But now, Schwarzenegger says he'll consider backing a "compromise bill," which will address some national security concerns but nonetheless give drivers licenses to illegal aliens.

Elect me and I will work hard to put on the ballot and into public office pro-constitution, pro-life and fiscally responsible Republicans who will stand up against bloated bureaucracy, intrusive government, punitive taxation, rampant secularism and the government monopoly on education. If you support the Republican Party platform as written, I need your vote.
