Candidate for
Green Party Member County Council At-Large-Grn; County of Sonoma

Mike Sandler served on the Green Party of Sonoma County County Council from 1998-2002. He was treasurer from 2000-2002. During the 2000 campaign, Mike was youth outreach coordinator. He did outreach at Sonoma State and SRJC, and planned an event called "Greenhouse" at a nightclub in Santa Rosa featuring DJs, music, and fun for "Matt Gonzalez-style" Green Partiers. He has similar plans for 2004.

Mike works as the program coordinator for a non-profit in West Sonoma County focusing on water quality, climate change, and other environmental issues. He co-founded a program promoting socially and environmentally responsible business, and previously worked on local government sustainability programs. He holds a degree in Political Economy from the University of California at Berkeley. Mike is 28, grew up in the North Bay, and lives in Petaluma.
