Member, Board of Trustees; Long Beach Community College District; Trustee Area 4

For the past eight years, I have been privileged to be a volunteer at Long Beach City College. I know and love the college, and I am very proud of the work we are doing - helping thousands of students begin new and rewarding careers.

I have served on the Personnel Commission for eight years and was elected Chairman twice. I was a member of the Presidential Search Committee, which recommended our current President, Dr. E. Jan Kehoe, and I have personally provided scholarships for needy students.

Community and state volunteerism has been a big part of my life, but no involvement has been more gratifying than my work at Long Beach City College. Seeing students improve their state in life has been very rewarding.

I promise to work diligently and to meet with administrators, faculty, employees, students and community leaders in making certain Long Beach City College serves well the needs of everyone who enrolls and the needs of our community.

My commitment is to work tirelessly in keeping our College one of our community's greatest assets.
