Uncontrolled expenditures for lawyers and consultants

AVH spent over $10 million on expensive lawyers and numerous consultants while leaving the ER uncovered
In the past 18 months, the current board and administration has spent over $10 million on several law firms and a long line of consultants.

Such uncontrolled expenditures have caused havoc throughout the hospital structure. Purchase of lifesaving equipments have been postponed; badly needed beds remain closed; the medical and surgical specialists have withdrawn coverage in the Emergency room; employees have joined unions and consultants are running the hospital.

It is high time for AVH to have competent management and capable leadership at the board level.
