  • Assure that our water needs are met by wise management, conservation, and reclamation.
  • Be open, accessible, and fair to all. Listen respectfully and try to understand opposing viewpoints
  • Minimize intrusion on the life of the water consumer. No water police!

Avoiding the Pitfalls of the Past
Past problems in the West Basin Municipal Water District include ethics abuses, problems in minority subcontracting, conflict of interest, and lack of respect for members of other agencies.
Initiatives
Tasks that need to be undertaken include a review of seawater purification, internet access to West Basin minutes, and a comprehensive security review.
