Taffic and SafteyBy Richard "Rick" RiosCandidate for Member, City Council; City of Brea | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
Increased traffic is causing many to avoid parts of town and not let their children play in the front yard. With Brea's growth and increased size comes increased traffic. Residents have complained to city officials about the problem only to be told "it is being studied." That does not help comfort those with children playing near these dangerous streets. I believe that issues concerning traffic safety in our neighborhoods need to be addressed quickly. I understand there is a lot of development taking place and this growth will affect traffic in the future. However, as a father of two young children, I believe most Breans want resolutions to their safety concerns today so they can feel better about their children playing in the front yard. As your elected council member, I will work to expedite traffic calming measures from the 'wait and study' stage to implementation. |
