Frank Jewett is seeking re-election to the West Valley/Mission Community College District to continue the work and contributions of his first 4 years term. Because of Frank's positive contributions to the District, his fellow trustees honored him by electing him Vice President of the Board of Trustees.

Frank's vision and objectives for WVMCCD include the following:
LEADERSHIP & INNOVATION
- Partnerships between students, faculty and administration of the District to achieve mutual objectives, higher standards and "Best Practices" relative to the mission of the District and the Colleges
- Expand and improve strategic partnerships between the District and the leading business enterprises in Silicon Valley. Corporate sponsorship for District programs and facilities
- Create an Incubator to support start up companies in technology related ventures, with a potential significant Return on Investment to the District from equity participation
EDUCATIONAL EXCELLENCE
- Quality education, recognized as equal to or better than any Community College in the nation
- Promote managed growth and educational initiatives while providing competitive compensation and job satisfaction for the faculty, staff and administration of the District
- Increase the transfer rate to private, UC & CSU campuses
FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY
- Active involvement in passage of the pending bond Measure H for Colleges facilities improvement
- Establish long term financial plan for District that stipulates prudent fiscal management
- Serve as a leader for the efficient use and allocation of limited educational dollars
