Candidate for
Board Member; Oak Grove School District

It has been my privilege to serve you and the students of the Oak School District for the past eight years. I am asking for your support to continue the progress we have made to improve our schools with a focus on student success, school safety and fiscal responsibility.

Our accomplishments during this time include:
1) 14 of our schools receiving California Distinguished School Awards
2) A Five-Year Plan to meet student performance objectives
3) All schools meeting the State's Academic Performance Index targets
4) Algebra and Geometry completion among the highest in the Santa Clara County
5) 20-1 Class Size in grades K-3
6) Full-day Kindergarten; Art, Music, and After-school Sports programs
7) Modernizing schools with new playgrounds, bathrooms, technology and libraries
8) Developing Partnerships with community, business, and educational groups
9) Over 90% of our teachers fully credentialed.

As my seven children progressed through this district I recognized the many challenges we face as a community, as parents, and families. We need sound leadership and a vision to meet the educational needs ofevery child in our District. With your vote, I will continue my dedication to policies that promote high academic performance, assure fiscal responsibility, provide safe school environments, embrace diversity, and welcome parent involvement.
