Tania Bowman is a fiscal conservative.Tania is concerned with the lack of affordable housing for young families just starting out and for seniors living carefully on fixed incomes. She is concerned with the city council's lack of response to the needs of small businesses. She is concerned with the city council giving away millions of dollars to out-of-town developers. She is concerned that the current city council will increase our property taxes for the next 30 years. She is concerned that this lack of fiscal responsibility will mean more citizens having a harder time paying their mortgages and rents. Tania is concerned that poorly planned growth has led to serious strains on our basic services. Traffic congestion, water supplies, electric generation, trash disposal, and school and hospital overcrowding are all issues that can no longer be ignored. A vote for Tania Bowman will bring to Escondido: · Fiscal responsibility that results in an end to outrageous property tax hikes. · A strong advocate for small businesses. · Developers and corporations paying their fair share. · A plan to protect the quality of rural surroundings while we steadfastly re-develop and re-vitalize our urban core. · Increased housing opportunities and affordability for all. · A city council that cares and listens to the rest of us. |
