EASTERN CHULA VISTABy Steven "Steve" CastanedaCandidate for Council Member; City of Chula Vista; Seat 4 | |

Real Growth Management is needed to sustain our quality of LifeUnchecked growth has put a severe strain on the ability of our facilities to effectively serve us. Though the city has spent millions to widen roads, our traffic problem has not improved. Only TRUE GROWTH MANAGEMENT that slows development when our roads don't flow properly will solve the problem. Additionally, we need a real commitment to sensible alternatives, like efficient mass transit, including bringing the Coaster further south to Chula Vista. Chula Vista residents have spent millions for construction of new schools, yet our kids still face overcrowded classrooms. I will work to ensure that construction of new schoolrooms keeps pace with the construction of new houses, so our kids can learn in a healthy and productive environment. |
