- To protect our democracy, students need to be encouraged to think critically, think creatively, ask questions, and take action toward positive goals.
 - Quality education includes art, music, global awarenss, physical fitness, health, science, and applied arts, as well as language arts and math.
 - The collaborative model for problem solving is a good model, where each person brings his/her own area of expertise and all voices are considered.
