Candidate for
Harbor Commissioner; San Mateo County Harbor District

I am currently the President and have served in each office of the San Mateo County Harbor District. I was born and raised in San Mateo County.

I am co-chairman of the task force working hard to bring ferry service to San Mateo County, specifically Redwood City Harbor and Oyster Point Marina in South San Francisco.

I have 32 years city and state law enforcement experience, including FBI training at the CHP Academy. I am a former Mayor of South San Francisco. I also served on the South San Francisco School Board for 9 years, including 2 as chairman. I also served on the San Mateo County Fair Board.

As a member of the South San Francisco City Council in 1974, I was instrumental in the planning and development of Oyster Point Marina. I was instrumental in creating the Joint Powers Agreement (JPA) between the City of South San Francisco and the Harbor District that gives the latter management authority until 2008.

I am a member of the San Mateo County Friars, Italian American Citizens Club, and the Elks Club.

My wife, Phyllis, and I have four adult children and seven grandchildren.
