Born July 29th, 1932 (Will be 72 years old this month) Moved to California in 1940 As a child my father lived in the San Fernando Valley. The Masry family owned a small farm in Van Nuys and as a child he lived in a tent outside of the house and rode his horse to school daily. In 1952 during the Korean War he joined the Army and was honorably discharged with the rank of Corporal in 1954. Graduated from Loyola Law School in 1960 and thereafter was admitted to the California State Bar, U.S. District Courts in California, the U.S. Court of Appeals of the Ninth Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court. Married with 3 children Louanne, Louis and Nicole and 2 step children Christopher and Tim. 10 Grandchildren. All of the family lives in the area.In the early and mid 90's he and Erin Brockovich championed the environmental contamination case in Hinkley, CA versus Pacific Gas and Electric which is now made famous by the movie Erin Brockovich. He has received many awards for his actions to preserve the environment and open space from: Santa Monica Mountains Recreation Area California Department of Parks and Recreation Angeles District Mountains Restoration Trust Residents to Preserve Newbury Park The Wilderness Institute Save Open Space Thousand Oaks Citizens Action Network Residents for a Safe Borchard Road Neighborhood Preservation Group He sits on the Advisory Board of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Conejo and Las Virgenes.
