A Good Education For ALL Our StudentsBy Chuck CoyneCandidate for Governing Board Member; Bonita Unified School District |
This information is provided by the candidate | |
Good schools help our children as well as our community.A good education is critical to our children. Good schools also improve our community's value in many ways. As a board member, I'll work hard to help all the schools in our district further improve upon their current levels of success. And I want to insure the success of ALL our students. My wife and I have lived in San Dimas since 1992, and our daughter is currently a BUSD student. I'm a member of the San Dimas Chamber of Commerce, San Dimas Historical Society, and a board member of the San Dimas Youth Softball Association. My involvement and hard work in helping the district includes: the Budget Development Advisory Group; La Verne/San Dimas Educational Foundation Board Member; Committee For 21st Century Facilities for BUSD Students member (Measure C); co-chairman of the Measure C Bond Oversight Committee. I have been a classroom volunteer for over twenty years, and as an active member of the PTA at my daughter's school, I have served as the Vice President-Ways and Means and Chairman of the School Site Council. As a business owner, I've learned that careful planning, implementation, and monitoring are important to the success of businesses as well as school districts. As a school board member, I will make careful decisions to insure the maximum benefit for all our students. Please vote for me on November 8. |
