Long-term financial stability of the district is vital. Every effort will be made to spend wisely. The district must ensure that funds are available for construction of new facilities, maintaining and upgrading existing structures, hiring needed staff, contract negotiations, training, installing programs to improve educational opportunities, and restoring programs that were cut due to budget shortfall. As the father of two children, I have a vested interest in serving the needs of children, parents, and staff of the school district. I have actively volunteered at my children's elementary school for over five years. As a PTA chair of several functions, I have assisted and lead many different activities and tasks. I want to take my involvement in the district to another level. Long-term financial stability of the district is vital. Every effort will be made to spend wisely. I want to take full advantage of opportunities to any monetary assistance and welcome new ideas for fundraising. This will ensure that funds are available for construction of new facilities, maintaining and upgrading existing structures, hiring needed staff, contract negotiations, training, installing programs to improve educational opportunities, and restoring programs that were cut due to budget shortfall. Open exchange of ideas between the board and all members of the community must be highly encouraged. Board meetings need to be engaging and worthwhile to attend. Decisions made must be thoroughly researched. Local control of our district must be maintained. As a military veteran with over 12 years of service, I will serve with honor. Thank you for your support. |
