Dear Voters,
On November 8th, you have an opportunity to vote for School Board members to represent the East Whittier School District. Our District needs to have strong and proven leadership from Board Members who will be held accountable, continue the upward momentum of the district, and make the right decisions for our students.
As a homeowner and an important stakeholder in the community, I want to bring my many years of experience as a Teacher and School Administrator to East Whittier to help strengthen the district for our families. I have a Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology/PE; Master's Degree in School Administration; and currently working on my Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership. Having a Board Member who has the experienced leadership skills to understand what schools and students need to be successful, is a necessary quality I will bring to the District. I will work hard to Continue Raising Test Scores; Strengthen the Budget/Fiscal Responsibility; and Recruit and Retain Highly-Qualified Teachers.
With the State budget crisis looming and the demand for increased student achievement, our schools need experienced leadership, now more than ever. I offer leadership which will take our District through the rough financial waters ahead, while protecting our students and the high educational standards that are a tradition here in East Whittier.
