I emmigrated to this country more than 24 years ago and have lived in the city of Salinas for 20 years.I just like many of you came to this country with the dream of a better life,I just like many of you know the struggles of coming to this country not knowing the language, and I just like many of you wish to contribute in changing Salinas for the better.I may not posses a strong resume like my opponent but I can say that I am a former student of many of these schools and know firsthand the struggles that some of the students are facing for I overcame them years ago.It might seem weird or probably even risky for a "normal Joe" like myself to want to take part in a Board of Trustees but I hope in doing so I could encourage other residents in overcoming their fear and take a step to get involved for I have seen that it is possible...Thank You Very Much.
