- Began PhD coursework at Nova Southeastern University. Research focus on mobile learning environments.
- Moderates Joint Maritime Operations seminars for the Naval War College, College of Distance Education. The effort includes leading discussions, testing, coordinating planning exercises and putting course materials online.
- Created and implemented the Carrier Surface Warfare Officer Qualification training program that became the model for the Pacific Fleet. The program included lectures, testing, practical applications and final board review.
- Assisted in the curriculum development and then taught the lessons on Joint Operations and Leadership of the Aviation Department Head course.
- Taught "Introduction to Microcomputers" through Central Texas College for the Program for Afloat College Education.
