School Board Members and Public Schools

This information is provided by the candidate
I strongly believe that public school board members should entrust their own children to the schools they administer.
Board members become more familiar with specific issues at schools when they place their own children in these schools. They have more connections with the schools and become more aware of how the schools operate, as well as greater familiarity with teachers, classes, programs, problems and policies. It is important for board members to demonstrate their faith and confidence in the public schools they supervise by placing their children in those schools.
