FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY

·Adopt a long-range fiscally responsible plan that manages our funds effectively and promotes additional sources of income.

·Promote user-friendly financial reports so the community can see clearly what income we have and how we are spending it.

·Make sure that fiscal decisions support District and State goals for student achievement.

ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE

·Assess options to increase support for teachers and staff, including developing a culture of respect and collaboration.

·Maintain rigorous academic standards and a challenging curriculum that is relevant to the needs of all our learners.

·Support a learning environment that is safe and promotes respect.

·Ensure that classroom instruction supports State and Federal standards and is relevant and innovative to create life long learners who understand their role in the world community.

DECISIVE LEADERSHIP

·Contribute to a strategic, thoughtful and inclusive Board.

·Build consensus so the Board can move forward on difficult issues.

·Promote open and collaborative decision-making.

·Build partnerships of mutual trust and respect amongst stakeholders.
