- High-Tech Executive.
 - 23 years of experience in high technology companies of the Bay Area such as Intel, Adobe and start-ups, mostly at the Director and Vice President level.

Community Involvement
- Member of the Steering Committee for Measure A, the school parcel tax. Organized and led the phone banks with 400 extraordinary volunteers. Measure A won with 74% of the vote!
 - Campaigner for Measure I, the school parcel tax on the November 2004 ballot.
 - Re-elected Treasurer of the Palo Alto Council of PTAs (2004-Present).
 - Active member of the Healthy School Lunch Committee. The Committee convinced the School Board of the need to improve food quality, authored a new Nutrition Policy that was adopted by the Board largely as drafted, and asked the Board to reopen the bidding process for food suppliers. A better supplier was selected and is starting this school year.
 - District Board Observer and PTA Council Representative for Duveneck Elementary School.
 - Member of PAGE, Palo Altans for Government Effectiveness, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting civil discourse.
 - Elected twice by subscribers to the Board of Directors of Cable Co-op, the former local cable TV company (1992-1998). Fought against rate increases.
   
Personal
- Resident of Palo Alto for 14 years and of Silicon Valley for 23 years. Moved to Palo Alto because of the schools, even before having children!
 - Married to a pediatrician, three daughters - two in the school district, one at Jordan Middle School and one at Duveneck Elementary School
