My career started with Douglas aircraft in 1961. I worked there for two months, but immediately moved on to a successful career with General Telephone and Electronics (GTE). I was employed there for 35 years, taking time out to serve in the Army for one year on active duty in Vietnam. Upon returning stateside, I resumed a great life and career working with cutting edge technologies in the telecommunications industry.
During my years with GTE, I learned the telephone business from the bottom up. As the telecommunications industry became increasingly more computerized, my career shifted into the field of computers where I spent twelve years working with computers and electronics.
I retired from GTE in 1998. Today I own several computers, stay abreast of the news, and share information, around the world. I've watched our city grow and now I want to partake in the "NEW AGE" of Long Beach.
