Dona Spring has lived in Berkeley 29 years.

Graduated UC Berkeley with honors in Anthropology and Psychology.

Before being elected to the City Council in 1993, Dona worked in the area of nonprofit services to seniors, disabled, healthcare and on environmental

and animal protection issues.

She was elected to the County Democratic Central Committee '86-'88 and to the Green Party County Council '90-'92.

In 1994, Council member Spring served as the Vice Mayor of Berkeley.

Priorities:

Protect the environment by reducing fossil fuel consumption and pollution at the local level .
Programs for youth, seniors, disabled and those in need including more affordable housing, improved parks and recreation centers.
Improve public safety and disaster preparedness to our commercial and neighborhood areas; responding to residents' and merchants' concerns.
