Candidate for
Member, City Council; City of Blue Lake

I believe the function of a good city council member is to act as an informed representative of all members of the community, both residents and businesses, without having any overriding personal agendas. A council member, through contact with the public and city staff, must make decisions that best meet the interests of all yet stay within the budgetary constraints that a small city such as Blue Lake has. Depending on the situation, this may not always lead to the most popular results. However, in my 16 years on the Blue Lake City Council, I believe I have consistently done my best to uncover all sides of an issue so that the entire Council can make informed decisions. I ask for your continued support in this election so that I can continue representing you in this informed way. Remember, good government comes from sound judgment, and sound judgment does not come from personal agendas.
