Board Member; Sierra Sands Unified School District; Trustee Area 2

I have lived in the valley for 35 years. I attended local schools and graduated from Burroughs. I have been here ever since. I spent 15 years working for defense contractors at China Lake, and 3 years as a substitute paraprofessional for the district, mostly in special education. I have had children in the district since 1985, and currently have 9 yr old twins attending Richmond, one in the special education program. I am completely committed to the work of the Board, i don't hold a job outside of the board in order to be completely available for board work (meetings and other committments). I have spent the last three years as the Federal Impact Aid school board representative for our district, lobbying at the federal level for funding for our district. I am on the leadership pool list for the executive board for the national organization NAFIS.
