Education is not to be taken for granted.

Politicians have traditionally used education in order to boost their campaign efforts. They know that everyone feels that education has room for improvement, so they make drastic changes without making sure they are implemented correctly. This is something that is horribly affecting our education system.
In the past, politicians have used the education system as a way to boost campaign efforts. Every parent wishes their children to recieve the best education possible, and so polticians point out weaknesses in the system and make drastic changes in an effort to fix them.

Any one employed in the education system will admit their are faults within the school system, but many agree that many of these problems are caused by quick decisions that have no way to be implemented correctly. Many times a politician will create a "master plan" to start working on fixing educational problems right before election day. Often, people vote for the candidate in hope that they will be true to their word. What usually happens is that the candidate gets the ball rolling until he gets elected, and then there is no follow through. The school system is then forced to either revert back to its previous practice or try and stick with the now unsupported plan. Many times school districts are promised funding for taking action, only to see it stripped away after the election.

Then in the case of the last special election, there are those politicians that
