Candidate for
Board Member; Rosedale Union School District

I am a proud father and appreciate what the District has done for my daughter. My daughter has grown up in the Rosedale School District, and my wife, who is a teacher, has always volunteered in her classes. They inspired me to serve on the Centennial Elementary School Site Council, and I've stayed in touch with the needs and practicalities of the education system.

I am a partner in the law firm of LeBeau-Thelen LLP, one of Central California's leading civil law practices. I am also a volunteer arbitrator with the Kern County Bar Association. I received my B.A. from San Diego State University in 1986 and my J.D. from the University of San Diego in 1990. In college, I worked as a teaching assistant in the San Diego School District, and I also taught high school and college students competitive public speaking and debate.I have also assisted with oral language and mock trial competitions.

My parents, who emigrated from Europe, always emphasized the importance of education, hard work, and living up to your word. I was the first in my family to graduate from college, and I've built my career on honesty, fairness, and using good judgment. These qualities are the cornerstone of my candidacy, and they'll be an important part of my service as a Trustee.

Whether my negotiation and advocacy skills are called upon to overcome funding or legal hurdles in obtaining resources for the district, or if my legal background provides perspective on contract, employment, or business matters, I'll use my professional skills to benefit the students and staff of the Rosedale School District.
