By Jack F. TurnerCandidate for Board Member; Norris School District | |

1)Priorities: My top priority will be to maintain the high standards of student performance by playing an important role in the financial accountability process. Due to the increase in student enrollment, how this board spends our tax dollars is crucial in the success of our students. My other priorities involve, maintaining the same high standards in staff and parental involvement. 2)Qualifications: Have a great desire to serve the community of Norris School District. Have served on several service club boards, including Jack Frost football and Westchester Kiwanis. Was a K-8 student at Norris and currently have a daughter attending and a son who graduated. My father Jim Turner served on this board and would like to continue with these same values and traditions. 3)Boundaries: The most important factor concerning boundaries will be to allow the community the opportunity for input and to insure that their concerns are heard. Students should be given the opportunity to attend schools in their neighborhood to reduce all the problems associated with transportation. I want to be a voice for families in maintaining the adverse affects associated in determining these boundaries |
