Candidate for
Councilmember; City of Salinas; Council District 2

It is my goal to have the Alisal District be respected for its unique character. I have 25 years of active community involvement. I have worked vigorously on various boards and committees in efforts to enhance the quality of life for families in our community, especially the Alisal district,I am very proud to have raised my two children here. The Alisal district produces an abundance of successful people, fine teachers (one of whom is my daughter Maggie), great principals and many others who have very strong work ethics. I want to make this known more throughout our community, that is why each year I organize the "Alisal Excellence Awards Dinner". My commitment to serve the Salinas community is strong and I am dedicated to work harder than ever. My motivation for pursuing a position of public service as member of the Salinas City Council is to offer the firm representation that I beleive we need.

Each year the challenges we face as a community are substantially greater than those of the past. I will continue to prepare myself for the issues and problems facing the City of Salinas. As a council member I will consistently strive to fulfill my position as a devoted community servant.

I pledge accessibility to the constituents of the Alisal district.
