Principal, Sustainergy Systems; Co-Founder, Solmetric Corporation.

Education and Qualifications:
During the past four years as a Bolinas- Stinson School Trustee, I helped architect the District's proactive response to declining enrollment and introduced policy changes to improve academic performance. Most recently I helped create a Sustainable School Program to adopt and teach sustainable living practices at the school. Declining enrollment and academic performance remain the two greatest challenges facing our school. Both of these issues must be addressed head-on while maintaining the unique culture, environment and the exceptionally rich programs we offer.

I bring to the Board of Trustees extensive experience in management, an understanding of governance principals and a proven ability to work effectively toward consensus. In my professional career, I managed electronics engineering organizations of up to 150 people. I am currently active in two local businesses and a member of five local boards/foundations. At the school (in addition to board member duties) I am Chair of the Technology Committee and a classroom volunteer.

I believe community involvement and service is essential for a healthy community. Most importantly, I care deeply about the Bolinas-Stinson school and have a passion for learning that I believe should be developed in every human being.
