Professional KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE are needed to keep the Fair Oaks Water District an effective, modern district; Barry possess these qualifications. Past and current experiences include:

Statewide coordinator for URBAN WATER USE STUDIES for California Department of Water Resources.

IRRIGATION ENGINEER for the West's largest coop agricultural lender; provided services to more than 50 field offices in 5 states. Activities included:

-Water district evaluations
-Water supply studies
-Groundwater studies
-Water cost studies
-Water rights studies developing policies for
addressing current and future water problems
-Active involvement and leadership with many water
organizations from local to national levels; key
positions have included or currently include:

• Chairman of Sacramento County Water Advisory Commission
• President of California Irrigation Institute
• Member of California Farm Water Coalition
• State representative to the National Water Resources Association
• Member of several committees of the Association of California Water Agencies
• Member of the Regional Water Authority for the greater Sacramento area
• Member of the Sacramento Groundwater Authority
• Member of the Sacramento County and State Local Agency Formation Commissions
