Board Member; Goleta Water District

• Resident of Goleta Water District since 1980, Santa Barbara County since 1976;
• 2002 Appointee to the Goleta Water District Board. I advocated for audio taping of all sub-committee meetings - for "full disclosure" of District business to the public.
• 2002 member of the Goleta Water District Public Information Committee. I advocated for major improvements to the District web site, for disseminating Board minutes, online bill payments, informative interactions with the public.
• 2003-04 Member of Goleta Water District Citizens Advisory Committee on Capital Improvements Funding. I advocated AGAINST raising water rates to fund Capital Improvements. I advocated AGAINST raising Ag water rates.
• Early 80's, worked as UNOCAL Geologist identifying oil in the North Slope using state-of-the-art remote sensing technologies;
• Received Institute of Geophysics and Planetary Physics Grant for research from Los Alamos Research Laboratory;
• Received California Space Institute Grant for research,
• 10 years as Director of Research and Development in the commercial software industry;
• 12 years as information technology manager, Geographic Information Systems Coordinator, Geographic Information Officer for county government;
• 12 years developing curriculum and teaching technology classes in the U.S. and Europe;
• "Recognition of Excellence in Management" award;
• UCSB Chancellor's Scholar;
• "Outstanding Mineralogy and Crystallography Student" ;
