Candidate for
Board Member; Hope School District

As a parent of two Hope School District students and one future student, I am committed to the future of our District. As your School Board member my focus will be:

• Fiscal Responsibility - I will work with fellow Board members to implement a strategic plan that will be fiscally and culturally responsible as we transition through a declining enrollment revenue limit model to Basic Aid. I will provide strong accountability for expenses and programs to ensure that school funds are well managed, in order to meet the needs of all students.

• Quality Education - Our teachers are leaders, preparing and inspiring our children to succeed. It is essential that we improve the resources and tools for our educators to provide the highest quality education to meet the needs of our children beyond standardized testing. As we reach Basic Aid we must also work with educators and parents to implement new programs that address the educational and cultural needs of our students and our community. Programs such as; a Pre-Kindergarten program, Gate Programs, Cultural Arts programs as well as Special Education programs that will better prepare our students for the future.

• Working Together - As a School Board member I will listen to and encourage participation from our parents, educators and students. I will work with fellow Board members to assure we represent all views with honesty and integrity.
