Enhancing the effectiveness of the City Council

• Operate in a professional and respectful manner;
• Remain objective and not personalize issues;
• Balance public trust with private property rights;
• Develop and implement policies to guide revitalization of the downtown core and to preserve and enhance Shell Beach;
• Improve and enhance recreational opportunities;
• Improve streets and infrastructure;
• Manage the City's budget;
• Promote the City's tourism-based economy;
• Guide and facilitate future annexations; and,
• Collaborate with staff, project applicants, and federal, state, and local agencies in the implementation of various improvement projects, such as a downtown parking facility.
