In 1984, Steve Martin led the efforts to incorporate the city of West Hollywood and has been an active voice in the community ever since. Steve was a founder of the West Hollywood Democratic Club, President of the Stonewall Democratic Club, and a Clinton/Gore delegate to the Democratic National Convention. He served as a Rent Stabilization Commissioner prior to being elected to City Council in 1994, where he served two terms. Steve is an independent, pro-neighborhood leader.
