My top priority is preserving the safety of our streets and neighborhoods. Here's how I work to accomplish that goal.Don Szerlip's Top Priority is Safer Streets · Hiring additional Police Officers: Don has given our Police Officers the resources to crack down on crime. He has put more police on the streets and made sure our police have the tools they need to keep Redondo Beach a safe place to live. · Crime Awareness Programs: Don has supported strengthening our Neighborhood Watch Program and the creation of a Park Watch Program. He supports community based policing which allows the greatest amount of police involvement in our neighborhoods. · Emergency Services: When lives are in danger, Fire Fighters and Paramedics should be able to respond quickly. Don has made sure our Fire Fighters and Paramedics have the resources to be effective. · Anti-Gang and Graffiti Removal Program: Don has strengthen the anti-gang program and has had gangs removed from our parks. He also has made sure that graffiti quickly removed and our anti-graffiti ordinance is strictly enforced. |
