OverviewBill Zylstra Age: 53 Occupation: High School Teacher/Coach
I am a lifetime resident of the Artesia community, and I'm proud to call it home. As I walk each morning through the city of Artesia, I grasp an appreciation for the positive continual strides that our city has made. As a city council member, I will continue that growth and status.
My background includes thirty years as a high school teacher, coach and active teacher union representative. I currently serve as Park Commissioner and keep involved in local issues by attending many city council meetings.
My vision for Artesia includes preserving past traditions and celebrating our diversity as a community. My goal is to be an active member of the city council by representing the community's needs. I will collaborate with our businesses to insure our city's continued growth. I will listen to your suggestions and concerns in hopes of creating an even better future for Artesia.
I believe in a community where faith, family, neighbors and businesses are valued. Integrity, consistency and respect will be part of my decision making. I only ask for your vote that will give me the opportunity to represent you as a community member. I am an Artesian for Artesia! 1- Find ways to develope Pioneer Blvd to create a unique business opportunity for the many culturally diverse businesses 2- To seek ways to improve our parks for use of our many youth and adult programs 3- To develop cultural exchange of ideas to improve business opportunities 4- To maintain our Artesia's traditions 5- To help families improve opportunities for the city's continual home remodeling |
