Candidate for
Board Member; Glendale Unified School District

Glendale has been my home since 1978. I am a graduate of Hoover High School and all six of our children graduated from Glendale High School. I currently have a three grandchildren and a grandnephew attending Fremont, Verdugo Woodlands, and CV High School.

I bring over 25 years of experience as a child and public education advocate to the Board. I have been an active volunteer in our schools and in several local organizations which serve children, including PTA (as a Unit and as the Glendale Council President), as a volunteer, Board Member, and President of Glendale Healthy Kids, and as an active member and past President of Las Candelas, an organization which serves emotionally disturbed children.

I have been a school board member for nearly 5 years, during which time I have served as President, Vice President, and Clerk of the Board, as well as the liaison to the Advisory Bond Committee, the Student Advisory Committee, and the Five Star Coalition.
