Candidate's Statement

By Jean Williams

Candidate for Council Member; City of Inglewood; District 1

This information is provided by the candidate
A FRESH APPROACH
My life has been one of service and I would like the opportunity to serve District 1 as Inglewood's newest City Council member. It's time for a positive change, and I will bring a fresh approach to problem solving.

I am a 32-year resident of Inglewood's District 1, and currently serve as an Inglewood Planning Commissioner. As Planning Commissioner I have an awareness of community and business development. As a former Inglewood Aviation Commissioner I understand the relationship between the airport and neighboring cities. As a Realtor, I am able to address the critical shortage of housing. As a 22-year business owner, I understand work ethics and employment opportunities. I am an active member of the community, currently serving as a Block Club Captain. I am also very involved with my church.

I am committed to sound installation for impacted homes; making our neighborhoods safer; housing; health care for our residents; creating positive youth and senior citizen programs; and community/business development.

I am the candidate with a vision. It's an ambitious undertaking, but together we can make a difference. The endorsement that I seek is your support and your vote. The residents of Inglewood's District 1 deserve a true and committed voice at City Hall.

For "A FRESH APPROACH", vote for Jean Williams on April 3, 2007.
