Campaign StatementBy Mark MastromatteoCandidate for Board Member; Pasadena Unified School District; Seat 2 | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
I am excited about the prospect of creating one of California's best school districts, and I can help achieve that goal as a member of the Board of Education for the Pasadena Unified School District. Test scores are up. We have a new Superintendent with a reputation for collaboration. People in Pasadena, Altadena, and Sierra Madre understand that a strong PUSD is the best investment we can make for the future of all our children. More young families are choosing PUSD schools. This is the time to create a clear long term plan for PUSD for lasting progress, and my presence on the Board will help ensure our District's success. As a PTA President, Advisory Council Chair, Site Council member, Arts Board member, and advocate for public education, I have learned how to help schools identify their needs, connect to resources, and help guide schools to success. As the only candidate in my race for Seat 2 with a child currently enrolled in a PUSD school, I have the best day to day understanding of what works and what needs work at PUSD and how to build a great PUSD at the school sites, at the District level, and with the community at large. As a Board member, I believe I can help create a great school system, at every school, in every class, with every student. But to do so, I need your vote on March 6. It's time to get it right! With your support and your vote, I can change the conversation about public education and make all our schools great again! Vote Mark Mastromatteo for PUSD Board of Education, Seat 2! Thank you. |
