I feel academic performance is one of the key elements to increasing enrollments. As a parent I believe the attitude of education begins at home and is then supported at school, not the reverse. Because I have children attending schools in the district I feel I have a more credible position when it comes to reaching out to parents. I wish to inspire and lead parents to take a more active and responsible role in the education process of their children. I possess the diplomatic skills to discuss the real issues with parents. The board can't be afraid to expose the truth of all aspects of deficiencies; but at the same time offer solutions so people can maintain a sense of sovereignty and inclusion.
