While I support the Amendment to the Ohio Constitution as it presently being presented, I feel disheartened that those representing us in Columbus have not had the political will to correct an issue that was found wrong in four Supreme Court decisions. The current funding formula, the crux of the problem, has never been touched in all this time. All the while, State funding for distressed and underperforming Charter schools bleeds money from local schools and further burdens local property tax payers. The Amendment, should it go forward, simply tries to accomplish what four Court decisions could not. |
