I was born in Antwerp Belgium to my parents who were Nazi Concentration Camp Survivors. My family arrived in New York City when I was three months old.My parents were working class heroes who strived to put my sister and I through school and to instill in us the values they represented those of the working man and woman. I grew up in the Bronx and went to public school all the way through law school. I earned scholarships through law school. My parents unfortunately passed away during the last year of college and the first year of law school. I buckled down and set about creating a new family and productive life . I graduated college at 20 and law school at 23. I came out to California and took the Bar Exam and got my first law job in 1976. Since then I have been intensely involved in the practice of law always remembering thevalues I had learned,I have always seen my role as a sort of David v.Golliath on behalf of the the little person v. big business and institutions.I have lead Goodchild and Duffy , P.L.C. since 1989. We are AV rated. I have been married to my wife Carrie for 26 years and have a son Adam and a daughter Sarah. we also have a wonderful dog named Arrow who we adopted from a litter rescued from the pound.
