Steve Bestolarides was born in Lodi, California on April 26, 1956.

The son of Greek immigrants, Steve earned his baccalaureate degree in Business Administration from the University of the Pacific and later went on to complete his Masters in Finance.

After finishing his education, Steve earned his real estate broker's license, and went on to work for a variety of local companies including Washington Mutual and Valley Harley Davidson.

In 1993, Steve was appointed to the Stockton Planning Commission where he served two terms and was twice elected Chairman.

Steve is currently serving his second term on the Stockton City Council. He was elected in 2002 to represent Stockton's 1st council district and was re-elected in 2006.

During his career in public office, Steve has acted as a strong advocate for the needs of area children and working families.

Steve and his wife, Doreen, have been married for 21 years. They have two sons,Danny and Paul.
