I am proposing that any person who completes three years of high school in California be afforded an opportunity to attend the college of their choice. I further propose that they be entitled to pay in-state tuition, and also qualify for state paid scholarships - "Cal-Grants." The problem with the above has always been that there simply has not been enough money to allow all California high school graduates to participate in the above program. Under my proposal, if Proposition 13 is reformed, the money would be there. I am fully aware of my campaign difficulty with the above. However, we in California must start now to enhance our lives, and the lives of our loved ones. Its really up to us. |
