Brenda and Husband, Delsie have proudly lived in and served the St Louis North County area for over 20 years. Being firmly vested in the community they have been active in various organizationsWhen elected as your representative for Missouri 80th district I promise to (1) promote respect, integrity and civility in the controversial, sometime confrontational profession of holding public office, (2) support a strong educational system for all children believing that education is the greatest anti-poverty program (3) promote and encourage legislation that cultivate access to affordable, quality health care. Health care that not only provides for detection and treatment but wellness and prevention efforts and (4) promote legislation that would foster economic security addressing the declining job market and Mortgage crisis that many Missourians face every day. Brenda has been married for 30 years to The Honorable Councilman Delsie Boyd. The couple has proudly lived in and served the St Louis North County area for over 20 years. Being firmly vested in the community they have been active in the Hazelwood School District, volunteers for Junior Achievement, volunteers for the City of Black Jack and both currently serve on the Black Jack City Council. The Boyd's raised their four children and are enjoying watching their Grandchildren grow up in the comfort, serenity, and security of North County St Louis. Councilwoman Boyd began her career as a stay at home mother. Her desire to give back lead her to become a Para-educator for Special School District of St Louis County then later becoming a professional Advocate for children with Special Needs. Brenda currently works for the Missouri Department of Social Services as an Eligibility Specialist and attends Webster University in the Legal Studies / Pre-Law program in preparation for taking the LSAT toward entrance in St Louis University Law Program.
