|
Born and raised in a small mid-western town 45 minutes east of St. Louis, Joan attended catholic school. After high school, Joan moved to St. Louis to attend Lindenwood University, where she graduated Cum Laude. She attended college full time and worked full time as a Customer Service Manager and was devoted to both her work and academics. Joan moved to Minnesota where she was promoted to a sales position managing a tri-state territory. After relocating to and working in Minnesota for a few years, Joan entered law school at Hamline University School of Law. While in law school, Joan worked for the Minnesota Public Defenders Appeals Clinic where she advocated for fair and just legal representation. Upon completing law school, Joan returned to St. Louis to open her own practice where she specializes in Family Law, Wills & Trusts, Real Estate and Litigation. She currently serves on NARAL Pro-Choice Missouri's Foundation Board and was voted NARAL's Volunteer of the Year in 2006. Joan is a small business owner and community volunteer and has lived in Tower Grove for the past three years. Joan is running for State Representative of the 67th House District because she is disheartened by how the Blunt administration has ignored our everyday needs. Essential state obligations such as healthcare and medical care for our children, seniors, and working class; improving the St. Louis City school district; protecting the rights of all Missourians are sacrificed by the Republican agenda. Additionally, Joan will work on under-represented issues such as improving and adding more greenspace in the St. Louis region and protecting and increasing funding towards the arts. Joan will go to Jefferson City to work and fight for you! |
